Mixed Bean Chili Mix

Our hearty Mixed Bean Chili Mix is a blend of dried beans such as navy, red, and black combined with dehydrated vegetables like onions, garlic, and bell peppers, mixed with savory chili spices. Ideal for easy comfort-food, creating a rich, thick soup in roughly 1 hour.

You will need:

4-1/2 cups water

2 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion, diced

3 large garlic cloves, minced

1 lb cooked chicken, diced or ground

1-1/2 cups monterey jack cheese, grated

Directions: Add entire contents of the package to 4-1/2 cups of boiling water. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. In a separate saucepan, saute diced onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent. Set aside. After 20 minutes, stir in the cooked meat and the onion/garlic mixture to the soup pot. Bring the pot to a boil. Immediately reduce to low heat. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add cheese before serving.
