Funnel Cake Mix

Our Funnel Cake Mix is easy-to-use delivering authentic, fair-style crispy, golden, and fluffy cakes in minutes.  Our mix requires adding milk and eggs for a richer flavor. Perfect for quick preparation.  

You will need:

1 packet Funnel Cake Mix

2 eggs

1 cup milk

2 cups vegetable oil for frying

1 pinch flour

Directions: In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat until hot; approx. 10 minutes. Oil is hot enough when you drop a pinch flour in the oil and it sizzles right away without smoking. In a large bowl, beat milk and eggs; add the Funnel Cake Mix and beat until smooth and creamy.  Place your finger over bottom opening of large mouthed funnel and scoop 1/4 cup of batter into the funnel. Over hot oil in the skillet, remove your finger and move the funnel in a circular motion from the center of the skillet outward to create a round funnel cake. Be careful, the oil will be hot and may splash * Fry funnel cake for 1-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Using tongs, flip cake over fry 1-2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from skillet and place on paper towel. Top with your choice of optional topping listed below. Serve warm.

Optional toppings: Powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, brown sugar, honey, strawberry topping, or your choice of fruit preserves. dip in melted white or dark chocolate for a special treat!

Fritter option: Drop 1 tablespoon of the batter into the hot oil and follow directions as above. Serve with syrup for breakfast.

For a lighter cake, add additional 2/3 cup of milk.

*If you don't have a funnel, use a pastry pipping bag, plastic squeeze bottle or even a plastic storage bag with a corner snipped off.  Squeeze batter into hot oil in a circular motion from the center of the skillet outward to create a round funnel cake.

 **Use caution when cooking funnel cakes or fritters, hot oil can cause serious burns.

Contains: Enriched bleached wheat flour (niacin, iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid with enzymes), sugar, aluminum free baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, cornstarch and monocalcium phosphate), salt.
